The super ravager brings it up to the level of the other REGULAR weapons, but it doesn't feel like a super weapon at all.
Instead of seeing the Ravager buffed, I'd actually rather see it as an optional starting weapon. But if that's not possible, a buff would at least make it usable.

The shotgun is way too much right now and the Ravager is good but not strong enough to kill stacked players.
The way the game plays right now, newly spawned players can compete with stacked players to the point that you have to respect them and play just as if they are stacked. There's a problem with that scenario. A reduced damage melee and Ravager spawning weapon would be fantastic IMO.

Really? It generally takes 4-5 hits to kill and is pretty bad at longer ranges.. With force or double force it becomes really good though, but I think that makes for some interesting situations involving the powerup (not counting mutations ofc..) and why shouldn't people be able to kill stacked players with some skillful shooting? not that shotgun will be any good against someone good with a nex or rocket though. or anyone with better weapons if we're talking about 1v1 here.. any weapon is good with some teamwork. IDK what you mean about ravager not being strong enough, I think it might have a faster time to kill than shotgun if you keep hitting your shots.
The ravager is pretty terrible though, no point using it with stuff like hagar around. IMO it would make a starting weapon pretty much equal to shotgun, but I'd never use the shotgun if it were a pickup unless I had force, and never use the ravager.
And yeah, super ravager sucks. super hagar is godlike though, maybe my favorite super weapon.

I think the shotgun does best the Electro and possibly the Hagar. And the super shotgun is amazing.

I'm pretty good with the shotgun but haven't tried using the alt fire of the shotgun close up yet, that might be more powerful than I think.

Well that's good news then!We've been struggling with Ravager for some time. We'll probably increase the damage it deals again. There was a point in time where it was so OP we never decided to bring it down.
Ravager will not be made a starting weapon, rather increased in damage to make it more useful.

I agree somewhat.
The ravager as is should be the starting weapon, the shotgun should replace its spot on the map but be buffed from its current state.

I feel the same way about the shotgun alt fire. When I'm able to hit shots with it it seems to do a pretty good amount of damage. I just have a hard time hitting shots with any consistency.

I completely disagree. I've unloaded into bots with deadly accuracy, and it's just plain weak. And I have yet to come across anyone proficient with it.Personally I feel like the Ravager isn't really under powered so much as it is hard to use. At mid-range, which I feel is it's niche as it's not powerful enough to compete with a shotgun at close range, it's difficult to "track" your target which is required for a weapon of it's type. I'm not sure that that qualifies it as being under powered though.

Yes, what you said should be the case. But sadly, it's not misunderstood, it's just plain weak.

Yea this will make the most sense i think. And it will be nice if you guys did some sort of announcement when u change a weapon for best or worst just for us to know right away. Not sure if u guys do announce it or not if u do i havent seen it yet.

Yeah I was just talking about that last night to some of my colleagues... we'll create a thread for weapon balance announcements... i also wanna figure out a way to get polls going on weapon balance. Currently though, there just isn't enough people on the forums to really speak for the rest of the players in Nexuiz (for weapon votes). We'll figure out a way that makes everyone happy though!

It's also amazing in its super form, with strength, strength x2, and rapid fire. You get rapid fire and strength on this gun it becomes the most lethal gun in the game.

Pretty much everything you just said can be said about every gun in the game. Except, every other gun is better without any bonus damages.I love this gun to mop up kills.
I land a hit or two with a burst weapon then that gun is out like a flash.
It's also amazing in its super form, with strength, strength x2, and rapid fire. You get rapid fire and strength on this gun it becomes the most lethal gun in the game.
