Hi, I bought a four pack of this game a few weeks ago for me and my friends. We got really excited when we saw the option for LAN party, we have LAN parties about every Friday. Did you guys just drop the idea of allowing LAN completely or is this feature coming back in the future?

Will we be able to play over Ad-Hoc? Our school blocks steam on their network.

The dedicated server itself shouldn't need a link to steam, however the main game does. And no online mode works without it right now as far as i know. LAN games are a feature which will be added in the future soon, and are on the official "to-do" list. However, there is no ETA on them. sorry.

Any chance that, the steam connect will be removed for LAN when LAN comes out?

In order for lan play to work without a steam connection, then i'm pretty sure it'd be required... so i'd assume so...
But i can't speak on behalf of the devs when i have no idea for sure, so i have no definite answer. sorry.

our goal is to have lan available if you are in offline mode as well. we are also are going to put Nexuiz in the cybercafe program.

The patch that came out yesterday had LAN Party available in it, and yes it works with Steam in offline mode.
