PC reboots from playing Nexuiz

I really like this game but while only testing the game out playing against bots my pc freeze up and reboots.

i have no idea why it happens, it happens at different times and no specific game situation. specs.

Intel i7 950 quad core 3.07ghz

Nvidia Geforce GTX 580 (driver up to date)

12GB ram

if there is more info needed please let me know :) hope there is a fix to this

do you know what temps your graphics card and cpu run at when playing the game? it sounds very much like they may be overheating.

Yes this game is quite notorious for heating up systems. is this the cause?

I doubt it is overheating if it was the GPU overheating i have experienced before that the sound don't cut off and pc don't restart until i do a hard reboot myself.

The cpu should be fine as it has a watercooling system and the fans from this blow cold air. The computer don't act this same way while running battlefield on ultra settings and i tried to lower the graphical settings on nexuiz to high instead of ultra.

is there a guide on how to get that report? dont know how to get it ;)

In your run bar type dxdiag, once that has completed at the bottom right select save all information, save that file some where and attach it in a post using the more reply options button.

Just ran MSI afterburner in the background while loading up a game and it is definately the GPU overheating. after only 10 seconds ingame temperature wwent up to about 98C thanks for the feedback lads, il let you know if i get it fixed
