Hey all,

As you can see in the Announcement section, there is a new patch out.

Please read about it here:

http://forums.nexuiz...-july-9th-2012/

Since you cannot respond in the Announcement section, I've decided to start this thread here so you can give feedback.

Thanks!

Hmm... Still think the DLC should of been Nexball and not Duel :P , but asides from that im still keen to learn about these new surprise inclusions with the DLC. Shame it is delayed but it is at least understandable, I'll be buying it at a reasonable price regardless to help feed illfonic for their efforts thus far and to ensure continued development of this great game. I am liking that more mutators are appearing in free mode now!

All seems good but a few people in my game earlier kept crashing to desktop every 5 mins or so, they had the issue before the patch also.

A bug that I've noticed since launch is the scoreboard appears on the screen mid-combat, and all I can do is move until I press the ESC key.

Only see 3 servers in browser and before the patch it was 8-9. There were 4 but 1 dissapeared after it crashed while changing map. Posted Image
The issue with the client crash i also had before the patch, only have it once when i join a server after that its gone?? Andystech got stuck while moving a few times and it probably was because he had 200+ ping.
edit. the getting stuck bug :P also applied to some players with low ping so its the new code.
Also while joining through game invite it has some scoreboard and bug issues

Glad to see you guys put in numerical HUD and custom crossair Posted Image , maybe a next step is custom colors for crossairs and enemys. Posted Image And putting out a small manual would be nice, a lot of players dont even know there's different weapon functionality. rocket steering and more accurate clancutter / crylink when using duck etc.

Weird, I had to "check integrity of game cache" before I could download the patch.

Dedicated servers seem to be crashing at map change randomly. Anything I can do/send to help you to troubleshoot it?

I can't leave a match without getting the "Delete reference object counted twice" error and it quits the game on me.

Oh yeah ! Only on white, that its hard ^^

It would be interesting to directly join the server as a spectator and see who is on the server, the scores and the time before joining a game.

biggest problem right now seems to be the glitch where a person is unable to move or shoot, but can type.

Hasn't happened to me personally, but I've seen it happen in most games I've played.

i gotta poop so bad, but i think the maid is cleaning the bathroom

daaaaaaaaaaamn I really gotta poop.

I'm saying it would be nice for you guys to place Known bugs in the bugs section of the forums so they do not get lost in all these threads, when i enter something called Patch Discussion i don't expect to see bugs. And believe me some bugs have been lost because people continue to do this.

To me feedback is something like "Hey i really like how you changed this" or "i do not like the way this is going".

It's a simple concept that i hope every one can understand and use.

From Merriam-Webster Student Dictionary:

Main Entry:

feedĀ·back
Pronunciation:Posted ImagefPosted Imaged-Posted Imagebak
Function:noun
1 a: the return to the input of a part of the output of a machine, system, or process
b: noise resulting from the feedback of an amplified or broadcast signal
2: the giving or sending of information or of something from which information can be obtained about the value, effect, or result of an action or process to the controlling source;
also: the information or information-containing material so given or sent

Please don't lecture us on the definition of words. The OP who is an Administrator asked us to leave feedback specific to this patch. We are trying to help you guys and we're getting attitude back, which is really unprofessional.

"...get lost in these threads..." Last time I checked, there was only one thread here about today's patch and I would assume that it isn't too hard to follow one thread about a patch. This forum isn't that large, or active. In fact it's easier to get updates from the developers on Facebook than it is here. It shouldn't be hard to follow your own forums, but I guess I could be wrong.

I'm sorry I started ranting, but just know that everything that was posted in this thread was only posted to help you guys make this game better for everyone. We don't need attitude.

I hope you don't alienate more people away from your game. Your first post should have been enough for people to understand where to go to post bugs and this second post seems very childish and unprofessional.

I will be posting everything else I find in the bugs section, I just hope that because you are a part of Illfonic you don't think you can go around undermining the helpful feedback that was given in this thread. Please don't take this as a personal attack, I would just like for you to understand that as your loyal customers and fan base, you don't take us for granted.

Thank you, and I'll see you in the bugs thread.

I am not lecturing any one you misunderstand, i was only giving my opinion on what kind of feedback i would like to see in this thread, it doesn't make sense to post a bug here and then the same one in the bug area.

Thanks for understanding and posting bugs in the correct area.
