Got into the beta and this game sucks ass. Nexuiz blows it away in almost every aspect.

But it has the fame from trackmania + even in beta the first couple tournaments with famous commentators happend. It is f2p too, so it will do much better than nexuiz.

One of the first to get a key here, that game is appalling, not sure why it was being compared to arena shooters, yes it has some shared elements but is very different in negative ways. Its instantly boring, repetitive, the menu and theme hasn't been updated much from trackmania, it requires that you run maniaplanet. Nexuiz is 10x the game it will ever be if shootmania stays the way it is.

the only aspect Shootmania has going for it over Nexuiz is being able to have more players in a match. I think at some point though Nexuiz will also have this.

I could tell by only looking @ shootmania footage the concept is great but the game gets PWND by almost every competetive aspect Nexuiz has to offer , seriously why do people whine and leave if a game has somewhat learning curve WTF 5 years ago it was all about that. If you fully wanna appreciate the nexuiz movement and weapon mechanic you have got to put some hours in.
And in my opinion, having played ut series since unreal and ut99 and all the quake versions. And ofc already 130+ hrs in nexuiz it really is the best fps game on this level I have seen in the past 9 years. The only problem it still feels like a beta with the game changing bugs and theres no player base @ all
