Hi guys,

Bought this game in the steam summer sale, and it might be because of the increase of players, but I've had so many glitches over the past 3 days I've had it, it's unreal. It's a shame for a game that I'm really starting to enjoy.

The first one I encountered was the "hall of mirrors" effect on respawn, described here: http://forums.nexuiz...-random-glitch/

The second one was being unable to move on respawn/trapped in level geometry described here: http://forums.nexuiz...k-patch-needed/

At this point I verified the game files, of which it re-acquired 1, and then decided to play again.

As soon as I started again I knew that something was wrong, all the jump pads had a shader error as described here: http://forums.nexuiz...h-latest-patch/

At this point, I deleted and re-installed the game on steam.

Go back into the game, load a match up, and all of the level geometry is missing as described here: http://forums.nexuiz...-display-issue/

I've re-installed the game again, re-installed my graphics drivers, made sure steam was updated etc. but the last problem still persists. And yeah, i've even rebooted my pc Posted Image

I know people have had these glitches, but I haven't seen a post with anybody getting all of them.
Any help on getting the game to work properly?

DXDiag is attatched.

RAM - 8GB

GPU - AMD HD 6950 Crossfire
HDD - 1 X 2TB & 1 X 500GB

Thanks for the help in advance

Hello, as of late last night we verified fixes for the following bugs made it into the late night patch last night:

The first one I encountered was the "hall of mirrors" effect on respawn, described here: http://forums.nexuiz...-random-glitch/

The second one was being unable to move on respawn/trapped in level geometry described here: http://forums.nexuiz...k-patch-needed/

As soon as I started again I knew that something was wrong, all the jump pads had a shader error as described here: http://forums.nexuiz...h-latest-patch/

As far as the last one it seems to be driver related. Its odd it didn't happen to you the first time you installed but after you did a reinstall. I'm assuming you loaded the latest AMD driver as described in this thread? http://forums.nexuiz...-display-issue/

Since this post was late last night please try again when you have a chance to see if anything is fixed and let me know. I will do the best I can to make sure everything is working for you ok.

Hi,

thanks for the reply.

I've just tried the game again, and the maps still load with invisible geometry.

When I re-installed the game, I re-installed the latest drivers from AMD's website at the same time, however, upon searching the web, it seems the latest version is 12.6, and I only have 12.4.

This is strange considering I used AMD's auto detect tool from this site: http://www.amd.com/u...overview.aspx#4

Running the update tool in the catalyst control panel seems to have helped, and it has found the latest version, however running a driver update from Steam told me that the version I had (12.4) was up to date.

Having now got the 12.6 driver, I installed it and rebooted my PC.

I verified the games content on steam again to make sure, but Nexuiz still has the same missing level geometry though.

Would another re-install of Nexuiz help? are there any files steam leaves behind once it's deleted that I need to search for and delete? (such as in the My Games folder or AppData?)

Also: I feel the title to the thread is a bit derogatory to the game. It's a fantastic game that I enjoyed when I was able to, especially with friends. It's just a shame that these things happen sometimes.

A complete re-install could help, i've had recent success in helping others with this translucent problem by using the driver sweeper tool and removing the drivers that way. The fact that you mention AMD is involved further more assures me that this could be your solution as well. If you wouldn't mind trying to uninstall your drivers using driver sweeper that would be great! in the original post it was an issue with AMD's uninstall methods.

Here is the original thread for reference: http://forums.nexuiz...-display-issue/

Ugh, no. There's enough pissing-contest profaggotry around already. Do not want more of it.

Yep, the driver sweeper tool and a complete re-install of drivers helped.

All issues that i mentioned (minus the spawning in geometry problem, haven't played enough to confirm) have now disappeared.

thanks for your help!
