i have a question : Can we update the server when we restart the server ?
(create a .bat or just add a parameter like : dedicatedserver.exe +autoupdate ? )

I tend to set up the server on a scheduled 'downtime' during the day and have SteamCMD run scripts to update all the running servers during this period.
It's easy enough to do in Windows, I can post a step-by-step guide for this - but no idea how to do this with Linux (sorry!)

With Linux you'd likely use a crontab job for that 
I've been scouring the dedicated server APIs and documentation trying to find some auto-update functionality and have not. I have to wonder if only Source games can support that. I'll ask Valve.
For now it remains as the manual process of running the app_update command again. I know it's tedious, I have to do it for our roughly 65 dedicated servers any time there's a network protocol change, haha.
