To add my advise, I might say that an arena FPS without Pogo jumping/b-hopping, etc. is not an arena shooter. End of story.

Whiskey, I can see where your frustration might stem from but without Pogo'ing your a much much easier target to hit. Take this video for example, since it resembles pogo'ing alot more then a strafe jumping video would imo. How hard do you think it would be to actually tag this guy as opposed to someone Pogo'ing every once in a while.




My advice is to go through some of the maps (offline) and find routes that you'll traverse often and try to Pogo through them without stopping whilst fighting bots to get accustomed to aiming at moving targets and moving fast. Hope that helps

That was the entire purpose of "pogo jumping", which is actually better referred to as the "bunny hop". Because games like Unreal Tournament and Quake Live are the same way.

At least i don't go starting internet wars like a ten-year-old. This guy is cool.
Anyways, i pretty much get it now. My accuracy has improved and i do better. Even in customs(I'm not host).

Personally I love all jumping methods.. Strafejumping in Quake, bunnyhop on CS, and the jumping in Painkiller. So I think that the pogoing will be great!

I do it for that and because I need to get straight to the action.. I have nerve damage or something in my thumg from holding down the sprint button in cod so much lol.. I get bored walking around grabbing armor and guns; I just want to kill some people

Haha You still do jump shots in COD I haven't really played a standard arena shooter, but I played TF2 as a soldier a lot, and that's basically playing it as an arena shooter (as opposed to playing as a engy or spy in that game)

I find the jumping is a little weird but with time I will get used to it. I come from a QL and CS background so it's very different for me. Overal though, you can do a lot of neat stuff. Just have to wait for more updates to see the end product of this jumping stuff.
