Soo, if we want to play with everything on Ultra we'll need i7's and newest generation of video cards?
No, just mentioning that we have and are testing on those items as well as low to mid spec items.
Personally, at home i run an 1366 i7 and a evga 470 and i can play on ultra. Haven't really kept up with whats new and what not

8gb 1333mhz DDR3 RAM
asus GTX560ti 1gb
Windows Vista 32bit (home edition)
Runs at like 35-50fps @ 1440x900 with EVERYTHING maxed out (including AA).
I usually play at high (not max) so that my FPS lingers closer to 60fps at all times, as it should in a game that requires such a fast pace.
Personally, i think the game looks OKAY, but not decent enough to merit such a low performance. The maps are fairly small and only 8 players are being rendered. The visuals feel grungy at times and i find stuff hard to see in some cases. I personally prefer more clarity in my quake-esque games. It's almost like there are far too many post effects and shaders.

totally agreed ... feels too messy and while moving around doesnt feel any good anyway . to see the detail u need some seconds to focus on them or u wont notice at all
A lot of this comes from the pacing of the game being changed for the PC version. The game has been sped up by ~15% compared to the console counterpart. Not to mention the pacing gained by having a mouse/keyboard. The extra speed on pc mixed with the shaders and motion blur seem to make everything simply too hard to see.
It doesn't help when the weird color grading happens with the mutators. Why does the contrast need to change when the gravity mutator is activated? Why does the entire screen have to be tinted green when i have the regen mutator? It doesn't. It makes shit EVEN HARDER to see. This should be fixed.

EGVA Geforce GTX 550 Ti 1GB
4GB DDR 3 Ram
Windows 7 32bit Professional
[Note: had to force my nvidia control panel to let 3d program to control under adjust image settings w/ preview]
Low: 80-100fps (preset low) -> on the ctf map some areas give me 100 fps the others give me around 85ish
High: 39-41fps (preset high)
(With Texture Filtering and Coronas off)
Hopefully it improves with optimization on release on the 10th.

Radeon HD 6970 2GB x2 Crossfired
8GB DDR3 1333mhz RAM
Win7 Pro 64bit
Depending on the map I can run everything on very high with no antialiasing or coronas - apart from the lighting, on some maps changing the lighting from high to low is the difference between 10 and 60 fps.
Also suffering from a flickering bug.
edit: noticed my drivers are slightly out of date though, so will try updating them

Unlike other games in modern times, Nexuiz is extremely fast paced and open with a lot of micro detail. Performance comes from multiple areas, one of the biggest things we believe right now is direct x 11 shaders which we are looking into. we should have the ability to turn back to dx 9 which should give significant boosts. Because nexuiz incorporates fast, up close combat as well as airial combat from low gravity/jetpacks, occlusion is much different than other games.

When the game is available, if you want to use dx9, you can do the following:
1. right click on Nexuiz in your steam library, and click "properties"
2. Click on "set launch options"
3. set the launch options to the following, minus quotes: "-dx9"
4. apply, and enjoy!
This will gain you a few frames per second, and is great for anyone who wants it. personally, i use a GTX275, and i can run with a framerate of ~60fps in DX10 on ultra settings. (my card isn't DX11 compatible)
But i still prefer to play on medium graphics on DX9. More frames makes the game more responsive after all

8GB Gskill Sniper 1600mhz
1050Watt PSU Corsair
120GB SSD Agility3
1TB Caviar Black
2 TB Hitachi Deskstar
2X 6990's HIS
Gigabyte Z77 UD5
Maxed 1920X1080 DX11 and everything 30-40FPS
Maxed Eyefinity 5760X1080 DX11 and everything 10FPS
Either my new drivers need to come out or me upgrading to 2 7990's looks all the more better XD
That or the game needs optimization :/

The only way I can even get the mouse lag to zero is by putting geometry on low. I'm not sure how much FOV setting is affecting it but the game is most fun for me in 800x600 at 120 or 130 FOV or 1024x768 at 90 or 100.
