Is there any way to get a refund for my purchase of the PC version of Nexuiz?

I had high hopes for this game but overall my experience with it has been, on a 1-10 scale (10 being the highest, 1 being the lowest), a 2. Every game I play results in some person living in Europe getting 0-32 ms while the rest get 999+ ms which ends up in an unfair matchup and my frustration at how I can never properly play the game. After 91 minutes of disappointment, I gave up giving more time to the developers and feel like my $9.99 could have gone to a more enjoyable game where I wouldn't be having all these problems.

Thank you for reading this, although I have given up on this game, I hope the rest of the community stands with Nexuiz and the developers.

Instead of joining ranked matches, try joining the dedicated servers from the server browser. Currently, ranked matches default to the P2P system, as it was all that was working earlier in the game's development. This results in one person having 0 ping(regardless of what it shows) and the rest of everyone having ping relative to how horrible their internet connection is.(A problem with all console games using p2p matchmaking)

As for your refund, I'm pretty sure that has to go through Steam support.

So here is my deal with dedicated servers for the ranked ones, the amount of players needed for the server to start is currently 6. I believe if this was lessen to about having a total of 2 or 3 before the match starts would really help the game out and encourage other people to wait in ranked server matches before deciding to rage quit since they only needed one more player before the game started. Comments or suggestions to this? Thanks.

I thought dedicated servers didn't have number-of-players requirements?
I was able to play fine on a server with only two people in it.

Sorry I meant for the current ranked servers that they have for match making right now. It requires 6 people before it will start the game, otherwise, you keep waiting and hoping players will show up.

I've gotten into games in matchmaking before with less than 6 players, though I don't know if that's changed recently.
Matchmaking uses p2p, so it's better to use the server browser to find games right now.

I Agree. They should have a minimum of a 1v1 setup for ranked matches to start.

I just think it would be better for everyone and then the community would grow. Because tbo, I wait in the ranked servers for about a minute or two, hoping someone will show up, then I otherwise go to browse the servers to see if anyone else is playing, and if all else fails, I just quit and play a new game and come back later hoping others are trying to get into a ranked server or are play, :( . I have had to go to lengths of checking the steam community group and asking people to play with me; it shouldn't have to come to that.

I follow the same pattern, although I always seem to end up playing in the dedicated servers and getting people to ragequit (not to be boasting, but it's an unfortunate reality).

Have no fear though guys, I've got a 1v1 TDM ladder if you're interested in joining and a 2v2 TDM tournament coming up. So if you still want to play, you guys should sign up to either or both of these events; I guarantee you'll have fun AND learn a lot. I also have a 4v4 CTF ladder planned for July and August Posted Image
