<@Kedhrin> i'd say we're about a 7, its smoother than Quake for more immersion, but still has an insane amount of control

<@Kedhrin> x24-veggie, we have multiple setups going from low end all the way to super bad ass for the 'STUPID' rendering mode, which features mesh tesselation, non-compressed textures and overkill effects (primarily for benchmarking)

<@Kedhrin> i don't know off hand, but we have a lot of config specs, the rule of thumb is if you can run crysis 2 you can run Nexuiz fine
<x24-veggie> Back for a sec to check out your answer, @Kedhrin, what do the badass system? What would you recommend for 'STUPID' just off the top of your head?
<@Kedhrin> x24-veggie, i don't anticpate any modern hardware going above 30fps in STUPID rendreing mode. You need to have crossfire-sli setups to be able to run it smoothly, all top of the line stuff

<Sebstinct> 1 armor vest is 75? so with the current nex damage a player must hit a player 3 times for both 75 and 150 armor, or is that wrong?

<Sebstinct> i was saying that if it's 90, 75 armor + full health would be 2 hits, and 150 armor + full armor would be 3

<Sebstinct> strafe jumping is very easy in nexuiz, you don't have to flick your mouse. all you do is hold down either w + a/d or diagonal on a controller mid air

If the skill ceiling is high enough, one player will be able to carry his team to victory and receive the W he justly deserves. <@Kedhrin> probably not, i don't really believe in doing a beam gun outside of the super weapons its just no how the weapons in Nexuiz are, and the Ravager needs to be beefed because it represents a vast amount of players preferred play style (shooting a machine gun). i don't want to punish players who feel comfortable using it.

<@Kedhrin> yeah, Echon and our other duder, Dan, put in weapon balancing on the server side very last second... i'm so glad we did.

<@Kedhrin> emkayu, both, MM is used for ranking, stats, etc., but you can do custom servers with a server browser, as well as host dedicated servers
