I have gone through the logs and will provide you with all the questions/answers that were given to date. Don't get spoiled, I may not do this all the time. Just get on into IRC and see what you're missing! I will apologize now for any errors that I may have made below and for some time stamps still being in long discussions =)

Creature: can you tell me if its dx11?
Kedhrin: the PC version will feature full CryENGINE 3 Direct X 11 Features

Creature: i just thought since movement speed was increased by 15% would make sense for projectiles to be adjusted somewhat like rockets?
Kedhrin: Creature, not yet, but we're looking at all of that right now

Creature: will it have a small perorder sale too? they get people to look at the specials tab and may help increase sales somewhat on steam
Creature: not that i dont mind paying a full ten dollars hell i would easily pay 15 possibly more for this
Kedhrin: Creature, i'm not sure what THQ has planned for that yet but i imagine something will reveal itself soon

Cr4zy: Kedhrin I hope you guys have a ton of visual/system settings planned for the PC version?
Kedhrin: Cr4zy, we have a good amount but it's still simplified

Cr4zy: Possibility of config file editing?
Kedhrin: Cr4zy, CryENGINE 3 is a beast with an insane amount of visual cvars, we've dumbed them down into multiple categories
Cr4zy: Yeah I know it's got a ton
Kedhrin: Cr4zy, probably not, theres a lot of things we have to maintain control over for Dynamic Mutators and other things
Cr4zy: Just hoping it has more then the 'standard' PC game these days
Kedhrin: Cr4zy, oh its way more than standard pc games these days that are just console ports
Creature: raw input for mouse?
Cr4zy: ^that too
Kedhrin: Creature, whatever default cryengine 3 uses for mouse input is what we use, we don't know anything else beyond that
Cr4zy: Guess you have a sens slider/value in-game?
Kedhrin: sensitivity?

Sam1: kedhrin: But will the game itself have an option for 7.1?
kedhrin: Sam1, if the engine supports it i guess, i don't know, we haven't looked into it, that's a feature from crytek not us


SilentKO: its just the way it is right now its kinda mess up. just to give you an example on Strengh when you drop where the mutator is to grab the Nex you take damage and i and many ppl have die when they are in the middle of a fight and drop down there
SilentKO: and not just that map i mean if you drop a few feet and ur low health you will die easily
SilentKO: i understand the reason behind it but even when you use jumpads you take damage
kedhrin: theres something dramatically wrong with damage we discovered yesterday
kedhrin: CryENGINE 3 feature we didnt know about
kedhrin: so its probably related to that
kedhrin: because fall damage doesn't seem to be consistent
SilentKO: i see
kedhrin: so it should be more consistent in the next patch
kedhrin: which was what was causing headshots to be fubar too

Sam1: Fall damage should be really low
kedhrin: yeah we initally had no fall damage at all but only added it for the intended functionality of a small amount of visual feedback or taking damage from a severe fall (like losing jetpacks)
SilentKO: thats how mess up fall damage is right now
SilentKO: BTW you dont take fall damage when losing jetpacks if you didnt know
kedhrin: lol yeah jump pad fall damage is the worse
kedhrin: thats actually not fall damage
kedhrin: thats velocity damage

SilentKO: but thats just not right. i mean i dont see it right

SilentKO: BTW kedhrin when would you guysbe dropping another patch?
kedhrin: well the first patch should be dropping any day now, just still waiting for microsoft
kedhrin: after that i hope to have a massive content push in the DLC patch, which allows us to update menus etc

HangingJohnny: Kedhrin, are new gametypes a possibility for the near future?
kedhrin: a possibility, yes, but we can't confirm anything right now

SilentKO: kedhrin i notice you guys have the leaderboard option on the Nexuiz website, any chance of that getting online?
kedhrin: hopefully soon
kedhrin: still working on it

SilentKO: i think spectator mode and the option to make ur own servers are far more important than that
kedhrin: we have no news on spectator mode or dedicated servers for 360 but dedicated servers will be available on PC
SilentKO: hehe i know they will be available for pc. we just dont get why it cant be duable for the 360.
kedhrin: Valve has the greatest modo when it comes to making PC games for Steam

kedhrin: 360 on the other hand, well, the patch has been done for over a week now.
Sam1: kedhrin: Hats are only in one of Valve's games

SilentKO: kedhrin it will def help alot if we could make our own server on the 360
SilentKO: it will solve lots of problems
kedhrin: SilentKO, who knows, maybe once we get it working on PC it will be easy to migrate over to 360, but we just don't know yet as we're still investigating it
SilentKO: i understand hopefully everything goes well and like you said can be done on the 360 too
Chef_Linguini: Kedhrin, Spectator mode will be released for the x360 though right? Because with spectator mode I beleive there's some kind of workaround that basically gives you dedis
SilentKO: kedhrin how is the pc verson coming alone?
Sam1: kedhrin: Will there be a spectator slot for the shoutcaster?
kedhrin: Chef_Linguini, Spectator opens the door for a lot of LAG possibilities, but it's not hte 'spectator' mode itself thats the problem, its the menus
kedhrin: Spectator pretty much already works, we just need a way for the menus to hook up to it
kedhrin: which requires a programmers time, and they're full up right now
Sam1: kedhrin: I hope you add lots of options for lowering graphics, I want to run Nexuiz with the lowest possible graphical settings.
kedhrin: Sam1, didn't we talk about this the other day?
Sam1: kedhrin: Maybe, I don't have a very good memory

Sam1: I do like to listen to a good caster when watching tournaments

Chef_Linguini: Kedhrin, thanks for the reply. If we can give spectator Host then that should fix a lot of the big issues that many have with this game.
kedhrin: but we don't have any plans to support streaming atm
kedhrin: streaming can be done easily on someonds local machine anyways

Chef_Linguini: Kedhrin, the alt fire on the ravager is quite wonky as you probably know by now. Are there any plans to adjust this or return it to the way it was? I think the alt fire on the shotgun could be a great precision alternative, plus its something everyone has. I suggest bumping the damage to 45
kedhrin: Sam1, I asked THQ if i can talk about the beta, but still haven't heard back yet, so i gotta wait for the go ahead

kedhrin: Chef_Linguini, seeing as fixing it to be the hitscan alternative will have to wait til our next big patch, we'll probably have to figure something out now. I'll look at the shotgun.

fnLeX: Hey ked, I was wondering is there some kind of limit on how many pogos I can do b4 losing my top speed
SilentKO: yea you guys probably be better of just designing the alt fire for the ravanger again or something if thats something ur looking to do. i know you just try to make another hitscan weapon but its really not working properly
fnLeX: Cause right now it feels like 2-3 jumps
Chef_Linguini: Sam1, I don't have a PC yet, saving up for one. But yeah man, for sure
Chef_Linguini: a good enough PC rather
kedhrin: fnLeX, there is a top speed, and i think if you do 4 or 5 you hit that top speed but you don't lose speed until you move back on the air control or start looking in other directions
kedhrin: SilentKO, yeah i put it into the work queue to make sure the adjustments are made to make it work properly


Chef_Linguini: Kedhrin: any plans for the electro alt fire? or the hagar? both need a damage boost IMO. Not a huge deal though, I've kinda stuck myself to mortar unless I'm host then I pick up rockets
kedhrin: Chef_Linguini, i want to increase the sticky range on the electro alt fire, but making it as a hitscan weapon or anything like that would just make it too uber as a weapon. the hagar needs a damage boost???? thats insane. lol but i'll look at it.
SilentKO: kedhrin the electro alt fire takes like 3 secs to blow up and its kinda hard to actually combo somebody with it
SilentKO: any way you can make like shoot 3 rounds of alt fire or i dont know something else
Chef_Linguini: The hagar is really hard to use for me... Maybe I'm just bad. I only want it bumped from 20 to 25 damage
kedhrin: SilentKO, once i increase the sticky it should be a lot better, i had to decrease it because it was so OP with it high

Chef_Linguini: Would it be possible to make the crylink alt fire MORE accurate in the next patch? I think that would be better. I mean it's already pretty inaccurate.

Fula: is there anyone else who finds it too hard/impossible to max-height-rocket-jump off-host? @kedhrin: anyway you can increase that time-span so ppl can easily use it on not-so-good connections?

Chef_Linguini: Yeah off host rocket jumping is pretty bad IMO
kedhrin: Fula, a lot of that is fixed in the patch about to drop, so we'll look at things then
SilentKO: i get it but seriously the crylink alt fire its not right and it makes no sense
Chef_Linguini: It's a good way to tell how good your connection is actually lol. (rocket jumping)

Chef_Linguini: Kedhrin, btw I've been getting some kills with the electro alt fire. I guess I was just bad before lol. The homing ability still needs to be increased a bit but the combo you get is really cool.

(7:35:47 PM) Kedhrin: Chef_Linguini, there are numerous issues with damage which we just found but it won't be fixed until the DLC patch because it requires a lot of content changes. we discovered CryENGINE 3 takes physics into consideration when dealing damage, so 100 damage isn't just "100 Damage", it's how much 100 damage does to surface type X, which made it all sorts of wonky.

Tre`: Yo Kedhrin, I saw that "Stupid" mode is more for benchmarking, is there going to be a premade demo/scene to run for benchmarking with a score or min/avg/max framerates?
Kedhrin: Tre`, we don't really have plans to get that advanced with it, but who knows we'll see what we can do
